Hereditary
Nov. 15th, 2025 10:14 pmThis movie traumatized me, I can't even begin to describe this movie because honestly it was too much.
The beginning started out with a family going to their grandmothers funeral.
The grandmother and the mother (Annie) never really got along, and they left on bad terms. The mother would never let the grandmother near her son when she had him (Peter) But Annie's mother had gotten very sick, so they had to take care of her. And when Annie had gotten pregnant again she had given birth to her daughter, the grandmother had gotten unusually attached to the daughter (Charlie) that she wouldn't even let Annie feed her baby.
As Charlie and Peter grew, Charlie got more and more attached to her grandmother as well. But then the grandmother died.
Sudden, in the beginning of the movie as well. But Annie didn't cry, she just went back to work. And looked through her mothers old stuff.
Later on Peter asks to go to a 'School event' and Annie tells him to bring Charlie as well. Charlie has an allergy to walnuts, and has to be careful around them.
Turns out there was never a 'School event' It was a friends party, and he goes upstairs with a couple friends of his and leaves Charlie downstairs with no one to watch for her safety. And it doesn't turn out well. And this, is where the movie, Actually, starts.
